Category 5E (CAT5E) cable is network Ethernet cabling that consists of four twisted pairs of copper wire terminated by RJ45 connectors. Cable is fitted at both ends with a relief strain boot and an RJ45 connector which is crimped on using a specialised tool. Cat5e patch cables are widely used in computing to connect devices to a network.
Cables should be tested using a Network Cable tester. There are two standards which can be used (T568A and T568B). Cables must match standards at each end.
